What a world we live in: A dude named Killer Mike is going to hang at the White House this weekend.

The Run the Jewels rapper is attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 25, coming as a guest of the Huffington Post. An extremely timely guest, if there ever was one— Mike has spoken up multiple times about race relations including via a heartbreaking, post-Ferguson verdict speech, his Instagram account, an op-ed for Billboard and more. Mike's also been outspoken about his political views (he chants "I'm glad Reagan's dead" on an album track off his R.A.P. Music LP), making him all the more an intriguing guest.

Cecily Strong of Saturday Night Live will host the dinner that will also see CiaraPete WentzJohn Legend, Glee singer/actress Naya Rivera, Vine star Nash Grier, Billy on the Street's Billy Eichner, Kerry Washington, Martha Stewart and more stars chilling with President Obama.

All those A-listers are more or less safe names, but we have to point out how fucking cool it is that a dude who isn't afraid to ask tough (sometimes brutally tough) questions about our government and country is being invited to hang with Obama & Co. Especially after the prez caught flak for hosting Common, one of the most socially conscious rappers in the game, in 2011—just because he once made a low-key George W. Bush diss.
