It feels like everyone and their mother is entering the music award show world and we're not complaining. Today Live Nation, the world's premiere music promotion company, has announced their own “Live Nation Music Awards" to air October 1 on TNT and TBS.

Billboard reports the show will be dedicated to the biggest and best acts of the year. “Live Nation is dedicated to bringing artists and fans together for life-long memories and we are honored to take part in recognizing the talent who bring those experiences to life," CEO Michael Rapino shared.

Instead of giving awards for song or album of the year, Live Nation will focus on categories that are relevant to Live Nation: Road Warrior of the Year, Best Special Effects in a Festival, Best On-Stage Collaboration and Live Performance of the Year.

David Eilenberg, senior vice president at TBS and TNT for unscripted series, specials and late night, told Billboard, "With all the honors given to recorded music, it’s great to finally see awards created for live performances." He's not wrong! Read more here.
