May the 4th Be With You: Hear the World's Favorites 'Star Wars' Cuts

May the 4th, it is again. Celebrate all things Star Wars, we shall.

The informal-gone-very-formal holiday, built on the phrase "may the Force be with you," isn't limited to film geeks. According to a Spotify press release, "there are over 215,000 Star Wars themed playlists created by users globally." (Bonus factoid: 79 percent of said playlist were created...by dudes.) Around the world, the most-played Star Wars songs are:

The movie-by-movie breakdown of the Top 10 goes like this:

  • Episode I: The Phantom Menace: one song
  • Episode III: Revenge of the Sith: four songs
  • Episode IV: A New Hope: four songs
  • Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: one song

No love for Attack of the Clones or Return of the Jedi, but it's tough to argue with any of these tracks—especially one of John Williams' most shining masterpieces, "Duel of the Fates," coming in at No. 1.
