Update (7/14): It's here! The first full song and title track from Lana Del Rey's fourth studio album, Honeymoon, has surfaced. The tune is classic LDR, romantic, morose and slow. Near the end, her vocals unravel into simple hums and a delicate repetition of "dreaming away your life." Listen to it above.
Original Story (6/16): Lana Del Rey is currently wrapping up her Endless Summer Tour with beloved alt-pop weirdo Grimes but, as always, is making a real effort to keep us on our toes. On the eve of her last gig, Rey shared a snippet of "Honeymoon," the title track from her upcoming album.
In the clip we only hear a bit of an melancholic chorus, Lana whisper-singing, "On our honeymoon." She later shared an Instagram post with all the song's lyrics (see below,) which feel like classic LDR: "We both know it's not fashionable to love me / But you don't go because truly there's nobody for you but me / We could cruise to the blues-Wilshire Boulveard if we chose / Or whatever you want to do / We make the rules."
