Selena Gomez Drops Hip Hop-Friendly "Good for You" feat. A$AP Rocky

After announcing that she was ready to make her comeback to the music scene with a steamy shower pic on Instagram, Selena Gomez kicks that plan off by revealing her new single "Good for You" featuring A$AP Rocky.

With a minimal, hip hop-inspired beat (not totally unlike her 2014 single "The Heart Wants What It Wants"), Gomez moans somewhat submissive lyrics like, "I just want to look good for you...show you how proud I am to be yours, I just want to look good for you."

While we agree there's nothing wrong with wanting to get fly for your significant other, we hope she's also doing it for herself and because she wants to? No man should dare tell Selena Gomez she needs to "do [her] hair up real, real nice," right?

As if the musical shift wasn't indication that Gomez is prepping a more mature album, plucking A$AP for the cut (an artist who releases songs with titles like "L$D," "Roll One Up" and "Get Lit") is a pretty obvious move that Gomez is far past her Disney Channel days.

"Good for You" previews the singer-actress' upcoming LP, that follows 2013's quite-good Stars Dance. Gomez also shared a teaser clip of the accompanying video, showing her looking good (of course) while lounging on a couch.
