Helped Courtney Cox Get Married (2014)

Ed Sheeran is like the Taylor Swift of dude pop stars, he's friends with everyone. Sometimes these friendships are based on fandom, like Friends-star Courteney Cox, and results in marriage.

Here's the rundown: Ed and Cox are buds, Ed introduced Cox to the keyboard player in Snow Patrol, and now they're engaged. What a pal!

Helps a Fan Propose (2015)

Sheeran's songs perfectly illustrate the British dude's big heart, and his love of love extends both on stage and off it. At a recent gig in Austin, the singer helped a man propose to his girlfriend, even handing him the mic for an intimate speech that went a little something like this:

"I've met a lot of people in my days, but to come across someone so amazing, so talented and so beautiful inside and out that there was no way, no way I was going to let her go. I thought to myself, 'I better grab her hold on for dear life and tie her down quick,' but not with conditions or rules or regulations, but with a ring around her finger that represents the ring around my heart."

Wedding Surprise (2015)

Ed and marriage go hand in hand, it appears. Instead of helping folks propose to one another or setting them up, Sheeran has taken it a step further: Showing up at a wedding of some super fans.

The best day of their lives, indeed.

Helps Fan With Asthma Attack (2012)

For some super fans, being in the mere presence of Ed Sheeran is overwhelming. Sometimes it's breathtaking...in the worst way.

Visits Fan with Cancer (2015)

While in New Zealand, Ed made a pit stop at a cancer ward to visit with one super Sheerio who was too sick to go to his concert. He made sure to perform—just for her—and even found time to visit with the other patients.

If that doesn't warm your heart, nothing will.

...And another proposal, but with buds Jake Roche of Rixton and Little Mix's Jesy Nelson (2015)

Just thinking out loud here but we've deduced that Ed Sheeran's "thing" might be spreading joy. He has fans all over the world but perhaps his biggest ones are found in his friends Jesy Nelson of Little Mix and Rixton frontman Jake Roche, whom he serenaded as Roche proposed. Too cute! Watch some of it above.

Nelson described the moment to radio station Key 103:

"To be honest, it was all a bit of a blur. I thought we’d finished sound check and then lo and behold, old Ed walks on. I had my back turned to him and the girls were like, ‘Jess, Jess’ and then I turned around and he sang mine and Jake’s song, ‘Tenerife Sea.’ And as soon as he sang that, I just bawled.”
