It's a good day to be (or become!) a rock 'n' roll purist. Teenage Time Killers, the supergroup that boasts of members from Nirvana and the Foo Fighters—Mr. Dave Grohl, to be exact—Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio and Blink-182, Nick Oliveri of Queens of the Stone Age and Reed Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity, among many others, is streaming its debut album today. You can hear the massive Greatest Hits Vol. 1 at the New York Times.
Expect a delicious hybrid of punk, metal and straightforward rock. Who said guitar music is over?
The 20-song album starts with the, well, explosive "Exploder." The tune recalls a certain '80s D.C. Dischord Records punk sound. Grohl fans might liken it to one of his first bands ever, the ferocious Scream.
So, what are you waiting for? Listen to it here.
