Chance the Rapper's first child is here and doing well.
The 22-year-old new father posted to his Instagram on Monday announcing that his daughter is cleared to be taken home after being delivered at Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago. A long caption accompanies the photo of his parent wristband from the hospital:
"I love this time in my life, and I've learned to love better because of it. I wanted make a grandiose and poetic statement with her weight and size and DOB to show how much this means to me, but I think it'd be more appropriate and fatherly of me to just say thanks to those who helped us during this pregnancy, and ask for a little privacy in this time for me and my new family to get settled."
Billboard recently wrote that Chance (born Chancelor Bennett) and his girlfriend, Kirsten, have been together since the release of the Chicago artist's 2013 breakout mixtape Acid Rap.
It's been a busy year for Chance on top of his new role as a dad. In May, he featured heavily on Surf, the surprise debut album from Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment. He followed that with a collaborative freestyle mixtape with Lil B in August.
