Update (10/6): Today is the day. Get to McDonald's because breakfast is available now...and later...forever.
Original Story (9/2): Hash brown lovers, rejoice.
Starting next month, McDonald's will begin serving their breakfast menu all day, every day around the nation. The changes were approved on September 1 after all-day breakfast had been tested in select markets for several months earlier this year.
There's a slight catch: Mickey-D's all-day breakfast menu will be a simplified version of the fast-food giant's morning delights, including everything from a 670-calorie Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel sandwich to their 150-cal Fruit 'N Yogurt Parfait. Bloomberg Business notes that locations will choose between selling muffin or biscuit sandwiches throughout the later hours. They also add that hash browns may have to compete with french fries for fryer vats during busy hours and may get pushed to the wayside—lest America decide that their new side dish of choice is the hash brown patty instead of french fries.
So, get ready to make it rain hash browns for lunch, dinner, late-night snack attacks...
McDonald's all-day breakfast starts October 6.
