Here's who we think should take over for Mya, Pink, Lil Kim and Christina

On Monday (Oct. 12), news broke that Rita Ora wants to organize an update of the 2001 diva summit “Lady Marmalade” (which was, of course, an update of the 1975 Labelle song). “It’s always been my goal to create another 'Lady Marmalade,'” Ora told the U.K.’s The Sun. “I’m trying to round up the troops. I think it would be me, Miley [Cyrus]Charli XCX -- she’d be fun -- and Iggy [Azalea].”

Azalea has already responded saying she would not like to be part of a hypothetical remake, while Charli XCX said that she’d be down. If “Lady Marmalade” ever was rebooted, though, what would the dream lineup be? The Fuse staff made its picks for the modern ladies that would sound awesome singing "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir)?" together.

Mya’s Part - Tinashe

No other R&B gal is hot enough to replace the iconic Miss Mya on this reboot. Tinashe’s got the sex appeal to make a killer contribution, and the sultriness to balance out the belters on the track.

Time to add some firepower into the mix: Pink’s verse on the 2001 “Lady Marmalade” is not the track’s most dynamic, but allowing Rihanna to grab hold of this part would make it shine bright like a… wait for it… diamond.

We understand the irony here, but come on. No female MC possesses an ounce of Nicki’s swagger, and we’d love to hear her lead “four badass chicks from the Moulin Rouge” for a new generation. Plus, Iggy Azalea doesn’t even want a shot at it!

Christina Aguilera’s Part - Demi Lovato

A “Lady Marmalade” reboot obviously needs a vocalist who can bring down the hammer for Xtina’s part, and Demi Lovato is more than able to smash the high notes. What’s wrong with being confident when you have the singing skills?

There’s no one else qualified to deliver the outro to “Lady Marmalade 3.0” — it’s got to be Misdemeanor. She should be the Ryan Seacrest in the revolving “Marmalade” cast.

November 21: King Kendrick

Kendrick Lamar graces the cover of Variety magazine, where he discusses his praised career, slew of hits, the country's political state and more. “America will survive once it recognizes the position it’s in, and the trials that it’s facing. Once people stop being nonchalant to it and recognize it, that’s when," he explains. "When it’s not something that’s just swept under the rug because we’re the quote-unquote ‘greatest country in the world.’”
