Troubling news today about the July death of Bobbi Kristina Brown: According to the Associated Press, 32-year-old Taiwo Sobamowo, "a woman in charge of Bobbi Kristina Brown's care at the hospice where she died," was not a nurse, though she claimed to be.
"There is nothing in the report that mentions how Brown's care might have been affected," the AP writes. "Duluth police say the case is under investigation." Potential charges include nursing without a license and identity fraud. On Tuesday (Nov. 3), Sobamowo was being detained in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she was located. The hospice is in Duluth, Georgia.
Peachtree Christian Hospice's Mallie Sharafat gave the following statement:
"We had no reason to believe that she was anything other than a good nurse with proper credentials. As soon as the credentialing discrepancy was discovered by one of our employees, we immediately took action and notified the appropriate authorities."
