Did Demi Lovato Sample Sleigh Bells Without Permission?

You already know we love Demi Lovato and were overjoyed by her new album, Confident. We also love Sleigh Bells, the Brooklyn duo comprised of guitarist Derek Miller and vocalist Alexis Krauss. And it sounds like they're at odds. According to the band's Twitter account, Lovato/Lovato's producers jacked two tracks from Sleigh Bells' 2010 debut, Treats, without getting clearance:

That's all the group has said about the matter so far; Demi has not commented on Twitter, nor is she likely to. Stereogum notes that, for "Stars," "Songwriting credits include Lovato, Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk, Savan Kotecha, and Alexander Kronlund, with production credits courtesy of Falk and Rami."
