Rashad Owens, the driver involved in a fatal car crash that disrupted the South By Southwest festival in 2014, has been found guilty of capital murder and will spend the rest of his life in prison, with no possibility of parole.

Owens drove into a crowded street at the Austin festival on Mar. 13, 2014. Four people were killed in the crash.

According to the Austin-American Statesman (via Pitchfork), a Travis County jury unanimously agreed that Owens “intentionally or knowingly caused the death of two or more people when he drove through crowds on Red River Street.” Fifty people were reportedly in attendance when the verdict was read on Friday (Nov. 6).
