"...to help our musical community and their families with the vital elements often overlooked during periods of illness and disability. Things like transportation to medical treatment, assistance with childcare and tuition, income assistance, the "last wishes" of a lifetime, and special treatments not covered by insurance."
Now Sweet Stuff is calling for donations to help the families of victims killed in last week's terrorist attacks in Paris. The Eagles of Death Metal concert at Le Bataclan was the hardest-hit site of the tragic Friday events; Homme was not performing with the band that night.
Donate here; all Sweet Stuff collections made through Dec. 31 will go to those affected in Paris. Donate more than $100 and you'll get an I Give T-shirt.
Following the Paris shootings and bombings, the Eagles of Death Metal canceled their upcoming tour dates, as did the Deftones, who escaped the venue 15 minutes before the attack that left 89 concertgoers dead. EoDM's merch manager Nick Alexander was among the slain. The band released a statement on Wednesday, wherein they said:
"Although bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris, and all those affected by terrorism, we are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion."
