As the official kickoff to the 2015 American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez performed just a snippet of her own song before diving into a dazzling dance medley of some of the past year's biggest hits.
While she began belting a ballad version of her 1999 hit "Waiting for Tonight," she stopped the performance and said, "Tonight's not about me, tonight's about the music." With an army of backup dancers, J.Lo broke it down to hits from every genre from pop ("Uptown Funk," "Thinking Out Loud"), hip hop ("Anaconda," "Hotline Bling"), R&B ("Can't Feel My Face"), dance ("Where Are U Now") and even some country (Little Big Town's "Girl Crush").
It won't be the last we see of J.Lo tonight either, as she acts as the night's host. This performance further solidifies how much of a boss and how professional an entertainer she is, nearly two decades into her career.
