Pentatonix to Perform 'Star Wars' Theme at American Music Awards
After scoring a No. 1 album, Pentatonix's 2015 just keeps getting better with a just-announced performance at the 2015 American Music Awards, which sounds like it might be the standout moment of the night.
The a cappella group will perform the classic score from Star Wars at the Nov. 22 ceremony, less than a month before the new episode of the series hits theaters. The quintet will recreate John Williams' famous composition with just their mouths while backed by a full symphony orchestra—an opportunity that makes us wonder if PTX will begin taking on other non-totally-a cappella performances soon.
