Pentatonix Wow With 'Star Wars' Tribute at AMAs 2015
The force was with Pentatonix as the a cappella group paid tribute to the Star Wars franchise live at the 2015 American Music Awards.
After an introduction from Harrison Ford (a.k.a. Han Solo), the vocal quintet performed John Williams' classic Star Wars score dressed in their best costumes—Kirstin Maldonado rocked some Princess Leia buns while Mitch Grassi slayed in a dress from the future. After a fully a cappella opening, the group was joined by a symphony orchestra as classic footage from the films played behind them. It was stunning meeting of modern-day a cappella with classic movie composition.
