The Weeknd Ignites the 2015 AMAs With "The Hills"
The five-times-nominated Weeknd hit the American Music Awards stage on Sunday night with a 1,000-degree performance of "The Hills." The Beauty Behind the Madness single has been burning hot since its May release. At the end of September it dethroned the Weeknd's own "Can't Feel My Face" to take the No. 1 spot for six nonconsecutive weeks.
Abel Tesfaye's a well-oiled machine at this point, having been on his arena tour for his second studio album. He also slayed Made in America, Austin City Limits, and the iHeartRadio Music Festival. He's on a roll, and it showed at the AMAs as he walked out under an arch of flame to deliver an ominous conflagration of a show.
