BBC Music Awards: Adele, Taylor Swift Win Big

Adele and Taylor Swift triumphed at the second annual BBC Music Awards, which were held in Birmingham's Genting Arena on Thursday (Dec. 10). In between star-studded performances, Adele was crowned British Artist of the Year, while Swift earned the International Artist of the Year trophy.

Adele won the former prize over an indie-leaning set that included Jamie xx, Foals, Years & Years, Ed Sheeran and Florence + The Machine. The 25 singer's "Adele at the BBC" also earned the BBC Live Performance of the Year award.

Performances included One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Rod Stewart (!) and Hozier, whose "Take Me To Church" won the fan-voted Song of the Year trophy. Jack Garratt was named the BBC Introducing Act prior to the event.
