Eagles of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes Visits Josh Homme's Radio Show
Queens of the Stone Age leader Josh Homme is one of just many celebrity DJs on Apple Music’s Beats 1, alongside Dr. Dre, Jaden Smith, Drake, Run the Jewels, Pharrell and Elton John. On this week’s Alligator Hour, Homme had his Eagles of Death Metal bandmate, frontman Jesse Hughes, on to talk. Just last week, the two sat with Vice for nearly a half-hour to talk about the Paris terrorist attacks that left 89 dead at an Eagles of Death Metal show. Homme was not performing with the band that night.
The Alligator Hour installment involved Homme and Hughes discussing “a charity campaign that encourages other artists to cover their Zipper Down track, ‘I Love You All the Time,’ and donate proceeds to charity,” according to Diffuser. They played a selection of the covers received so far. The guys ended the show with an exchange of I love yous and Jeff Buckley’s “Hallelujah.”
