If you were awake late at night on Thursday (Dec. 3), you received a fitting present: R&B singer Jeremih at long last released his new album, Late Nights: The Album, with very little prior warning (aside from the years of delays, of course).
The follow-up to 2010’s All About You and Jeremih’s 2012 Late Nights mixtape features guest spots from J. Cole, Ty Dolla $ign, Migos, Big Sean and Future, among others. The first single from the album was “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” featuring YG, which was a Top 10 hit way back in summer 2014.
Prior to Late Nights, the Chicago crooner was best known for his singles “Birthday Sex” and the 50 Cent-assisted “Down On Me.” Jeremih’s dedicated online following has been critical of Def Jam for delaying his third studio album multiple times.
Listen to Late Nights above, then take our 2015 quiz: how much of this year’s music happenings do you remember?
