Lady Gaga Scores Golden Globe Nomination for ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’

Nestled within the long list of 2016 Golden Globes nominees is one of the biggest pop superstars on the planet. Lady Gaga scored an acting nod for her leading role on American Horror Story: Hotel, marking the first major acting nomination of her decorated career.

Gaga is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, for AHS. She’ll compete against Kirsten Dunst in Fargo, Sarah Hay in Flesh and Bone, Felicity Huffman in American Crime, and Queen Latifah in Bessie.

“I apologize to my neighbors I'm still screaming in my apt in NY!” Gaga posted on Twitter on Thursday morning (Dec. 10). “I’m nominated as an actress for a Golden Globe what a dream is this real!”

It’s been a big week for Gaga, who also notched another GRAMMY nomination—for “Til It Happens To You”—on Monday morning. The song, penned for the documentary The Hunting Ground, is up for best song written for visual media.
