Rihanna’s new album, ANTI, seems agonizingly close to being released, right? Well, maybe not: In a new interview, Rih’s “Diamonds” collaborator Sia says that Rihanna is still on the hunt for new songs to round out the track list.
Speaking to BBC’s Jo Whiley, Sia says that Rihanna recently popped by to listen to a few songs that could be ANTI additions. “She came over to my house the other night,” the Australian singer-songwriter says of Rih. “The other night she came over and listened to half of 25 songs I played her, ’cause she’s still looking for songs for her new album.”
Sia described Rihanna as “poised and polite,” but isn’t sure how many songs she’ll have contributed to the follow-up to 2012’s Unapologetic. “I’m pretty sure I have one [song] on the next album, but I don’t know if I’ll end up with more than that,” Sia explains.
Last month, Rihanna teased her latest project with the release of her ANTIdiaRy Samsung app and ANTI world tour dates. Meanwhile, Sia’s latest solo album, This Is Acting, arrives next month, with a bunch of songs written for other people composing the track list.
