Slayer Announces First Leg of North American 2016 Tour
Slayer dropped Repentless back in September, their first album in six years and first since founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman's death. Now they’re ready to bring it on the road, with support from their fellow Californians ajd partners in thrash-history-writing, Testament. Slayer's touring guitarist since 2011 has been Gary Holt, of Exodus fame.
They’ll also bring Carcass, the British band that helped pioneer first grindcore then melodic death metal from 1985 to ’95. They reunited in 2007 and have stayed active since. 2013’s Surgical Steel was the first Carcass LP since 1996’s Swansong.
