If you didn't know that the spiky haired, wide-eyed, nudity-obsessed troll dolls were about to get their own movie from DreamWorks Animation, take a minute to feed that into your limbic system.

Now: Justin Timberlake, in addition to voicing a character called Branch, is making music for the Trolls movie. The Hollywood Reporter writes that JT will "serve as executive music producer for Trolls, overseeing the creative direction for the film’s music as well as performing several songs on the soundtrack." Here's what he had to say:

“I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn’t be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks’ Trolls. This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it all.”

The Trolls tunes may be the first new Timberlake we've heard since the second part of The 20/20 Experience was released in September 2013. THR notes that Pharrell blazed a path in this department with his work on Despicable Me and its sequel, which gave us "Happy." Rihanna sang three new songs in the 2015 movie Home, for which she voiced the main character. will.i.am also did the soundtracks for the two Rio movies.

The only other Trolls voice actor announced so far is Anna Kendrick. Director Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and...Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked) is co-helming with Walt Dohrn, a writer and director from SpongeBob SquarePants and Dexter's Laboratory. The script comes from Kung Fu Panda/King of the Hill/MADtv alums Glenn Berger and Jonathan Aibel. It's coming out this November.
