Khloé Kardashian just hit us with some interesting perspective on Kanye West's upcoming seventh album, Swish, recently set for a Feb. 11 release. Speaking to Cosmopolitan about her new series Kocktails With Khloé, the reality star said she's very familiar with the entire record, calling it "so good."
She's also seen up-close what a tricky time Kanye's having choosing the final tracklist. "He has so many songs that we—I act like I'm recording them—that he can't figure out what he wants to put on his album," she says. "And they're all genuinely terrific songs." She speculated that this could be the reason that Kanye has decided to share new music each Friday till the release.
How close do the Kardashians get to 'Ye's in-progress music, much of it being worked on in his home studio?
"...it's really cool [to have heard Swish]. And he really cares about our opinions, which I find even cooler. Because we're not artists, obviously, but he respects what we say so much. He is so passionate. He's like, every bit the meaning of an artist. He's so into his craft, and just to see him at work and see how much he respects our opinions, all of us sisters, he wants us all in the studio at different times. Thank god we all live a block away from each other."
After a long dry spell, Kanye released "FACTS" on New Year's Eve and "Real Ones" (plus a snippet of the Kendrick Lamar–featuring "No More Parties in LA") on Friday, Jan. 8. He plans to release new music each Friday until Swish drops, which is now less than a month away.
