Neil deGrasse Tyson Torches B.o.B For Saying The Earth is Flat

Let this be the end of the B.o.B-Neil deGrasse Tyson feud on whether or not the Earth is flat: on The Nightly Show on Wednesday night (Jan. 27), Tyson stopped by to destroy the rapper’s assertion that our globe is not a globe at all.

Taking the mic from host Larry Wilmore, Tyson took off his jacket and delivered the hammer: “Listen, B.o.B, once and for all, the Earth looks flat because, one, you’re not far enough away at your size, two, your size isn’t large enough relative to Earth to notice any curvature at all!” In two minutes, Tyson eviscerated B.o.B’s opinion, and literally dropped the mic.

B.o.B’s insane claims yielded a diss track titled “Flatline,” and a response track from Tyson’s nephew, titled “Flat To Fact.” After the Nightly Show appearance, it might be time for us to all move on, stop debating the Earth’s shape, and listen to ANTI together.
