With Rihanna's ANTI album appearing to be finally done, the world at long last received some new music on Wednesday (Jan. 27). "Work" featuring Drake premiered with little warning on BBC Radio 1. The song is now available on Tidal.
"Work" is a straightforward, fairly minimal reggae-pop track that acts as a sequel of sorts to Rih and Drake's No. 1 collaboration, "What's My Name?," and focuses on a fragile relationship. "If I get another chance to, I would never, oh never, neglect you," Rihanna sings before arriving back at the winding chorus.
Still no word on the concrete release date of ANTI, although it apparently will "also be out in a few days," according to BBC's Scott Mills. Whether or not the album will include singles like "Bitch Better Have My Money," "American Oxygen" or "FourFiveSeconds" is also unknown.
Rihanna's ANTI tour kicks off in San Diego next month. Will she have a full album to play at that first show? It appears likely.
