Back to the Future got sequel'd and sequel'd again, but what if it really went back, prequel-style? And what if that prequel focused on the unsolved mystery of how Doc Brown got that all-important plutonium from those not-at-all-fleshed-out Libyan terrorists?
Back to the Future: 1.21 Gigawatts, were it ever to be made, would provide the answers. And the faux trailer, made by a video editor named Tyler Hopkins, shows what it'd feel like. Namely: Dark, intense, possibly humorless.
1.21 Gigawatts would explore the developments between Doc Brown's flux capacitor conception in 1955 and the realization of his DeLorean time machine in '85. The trailer uses clips from the original films as well as Munich, Dennis the Menace, Dazed and Confused, Argo, The Sum of All Fears, Syriana, Iron Man and more.
