Maurice White, a founding member of the legendary group Earth, Wind & Fire, has died at the age of 74. He passed away last night peacefully, the group confirmed.
Earth, Wind & Fire combined pop, soul, funk, R&B and rock music into a blockbuster-selling brand of popular music in the 1970s and beyond. “Shining Star,” “Sing a Song,” “September,” “Boogie Wonderland” and “After The Love Has Gone” are among the group’s many, many hits.
