Meghan Trainor Gives Tearful Best New Artist GRAMMYs Speech: ‘I’m a Mess’
“I’m a mess,” Meghan Trainor admitted when she took the stage at the 2016 GRAMMY Awards to accept the award for Best New Artist. Fighting back tears, Trainor thanked her friends and family after winning the coveted prize and topping James Bay, Tori Kelly, Courtney Barnett and Sam Hunt.
Trainor was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year last year for “All About That Bass.” Since making her debut in late 2014, the singer has scored four Top 20 hits.
