It's certainly clear that Kanye West's new album, The Life of Pablo, was pretty popular. It was the talk around town—its very existence brought Tidal to the No. 1 spot in the app store—and who could forget that 'Ye sold out Madison Square Garden with an effin' listening party/fashion show? He had a laptop and an aux cord, and he sold out the most famous arena in the world. Insane.

Anyway, even with all that, it looks like we won't be seeing TLOP on the Billboard charts. The cause? Tidal. The streaming service isn't disclosing the number of streams, for whatever reason.

Billboard’s vice president of charts and data development, Silvio Pietroluongo, told the New York Times in a statement:

Billboard has been informed that Tidal is not currently reporting streams for tracks on Kanye’s album to Nielsen Music. Therefore streams from Tidal for this title will not contribute to Billboard’s chart rankings at this time.”

And there you have it. We're sure that won't stop you from streaming TLOP, or from perusing our complete guide to the album while you do.
