It's weird to think that someone like Lady Gaga, a performer who is so complex and different and larger-than-life, hasn't had a doll made in her likeness before. It's practically an outrage! Don't worry, that's about to change, and it's a lot edgier than your everyday Barbie.

Gaga has announced that she will join Mattel’s Monster High lineup of dolls as the series' first celeb doll.

That's not all: the doll was created for good. All proceeds from the figure will benefit Gaga's youth empowerment organization, the Born This Way Foundation. According to their site, the foundation is "committed to supporting the wellness of young people, and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world. We achieve this by shining a light on real people, quality research and authentic partnerships." Sounds good to us!

A release date has yet to be named and while we don't know what the doll looks like exactly, we did get a peak at its silhouette (see above.) After that, click through our list of the 16 pop albums we need to hear ASAP, Gaga herself included.
