Mikey Clement, co-vocalist of North Carolina metalcore band Valleys, died in a terrible car crash early Friday morning (Feb. 5) at the age of 23.
His bandmates gave a very rousing statement on their Facebook page. “Today, we lost more than just a band mate, we lost a brother, a son, a friend, an all around tremendous human being,” it begins. Their friend and member’s death occured right before the release party of Valleys’ EP Experiment One: Asylum. The event will now also be used to commemorate Mikey Clement.
