Christina Aguilera is developing and executive producing a musical game show, Tracks, which offers an updated spin on the Name That Tune format. Debuting as a half-hour special later this year on Spike TV, Tracks finds teams guessing song titles based on individual recorded elements within a song (like guitar, bass or vocals).
“Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track—with a twist—since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song," Aguilera said in a statement. Tracks is part of a first-look deal with Lionsgate, which will produce alongside Mission Control Media and MX Productions.
Though details are limited at this early stage, a press release teases that the show will feature celebrity musical guests performing either their own tracks or others'.
