Virtual reality is coming to Coachella.
Partners of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival announced today that ticket-holders are set to receive cardboard virtuality reality headsets in the mail before the festival. As Consequence of Sound reports, the goggles are to be paired with a corresponding Coachella smartphone app, which will serve to enhance live performances, and offer 360-degree panoramas and tours of the festival grounds.
If the whole thing sounds like a hifalutin mess, don't fear. The video above explains exactly how the technology works, which is quite simple. Coachella's 2016 lineup, which sees LCD Sound System, Guns 'N Roses and Calvin Harris headline, was announced in January.
As per usual, the festival takes place on the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24 in Indio, California.
