David Hasselhoff Joins 'Baywatch' Movie Starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Late Wednesday, The Rock/Dwayne Johnson/The People's Champion shared a video of himself on the phone. Quick background info: Johnson is starring in a Hollywood adaptation of Baywatch, playing Mitch Buchannon, the character made famous by David Hasselhoff in the original show's 11-season run.

So anyway, on the other line in the video, on FaceTime, is David Hasselhoff, being asked if he's ready. “C'mon, man, Rock and The Hoff, I was born ready," answers The Man Who Also Starred in Knight Rider.

“He was born ready," confirms Johnson, grinning-ear-to-ear. "There ain’t no Bay without the Hoff. Baywatch—get ready, world."

The Brahma Bull had more to say on Facebook:

"'I WAS BORN READY!' Pleasure to officially welcome the original #‎BAYWATCH gangsta himself David Hasselhoff to our movie! #BAYWATCH is the most successful TV show of all time and from the day we announced we were turning it into a movie, 'The Hoff' has been our greatest supporter. Especially once he knew our RATED R movie was going to be a combination of AVENGERS meets ANCHORMAN....

Hoff's a cool dude who's down to have fun and here's the best part.. He's been training his ass off and gotten in the best shape he's been in in years! (cue slo-mo running and glistening chest hair.. wait, why the f*ck am I even thinking about Hoff's chest hair!?) World get ready.. #‎RockAndHoff #‎ThereAintNoBay #‎WithoutTheHoff

Last month, Pamela Anderson told Entertainment Tonight, “I haven’t turned it down completely yet, but I have turned down what they offered me." So far, the Baywatch movie's set to feature Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Zac Efron and Hannibal Buress.
