As the members of One Direction explore ventures outside the band during their hiatus, it looks like Harry Styles may be going Hollywood before going solo.

Entertainment Weekly confirmed from "a source close to production" that after "an extensive casting search," the heartthrob has been offered a role in Dunkirk, the upcoming World War II film being directed by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception, Instellar). It would mark Styles' first acting role—unless you count 1D's classic cameo on iCarly.

Little is known about the upcoming film, but we do know it will star Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, and this year's Best Supporting Actor winner Mark Rylance. Dunkirk is about the 1940 evacuation where more than 300,000 Allied soldiers were rescued and able to continue fighting in France after German forces initially had them cornered.

Should the rumors prove true, Harry's Hollywood debut is slated for July 2017 when the film is released.
