Katy Perry & Dolly Parton Will Duet at ACM Awards

Katy Perry and Dolly Parton are joining forces to create one of the powerful duos yet. The two announced on Monday (March 21) that they will be teaming up to duet at the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 3. Parton will be there to receive the Tex Ritter Award for the 2015 TV movie Coat of Many Colors, a dramatization of her childhood which she also narrated.

In her tweet, Parton said that Perry will be presenting the award and that they'll sing "some songs" together. Those songs may include "Jolene," which god-daughter Miley Cyrus revived in 2012.

Parton told Rolling Stone Country about KP:

"She got the big idea, 'Why don't we sing 'Jolene' together?' Because she loves that song and since it's going to be one of the [TV] movies I go, 'Yeah, why not?' So I'm going to try to combine 'Coat of Many Colors' and 'Jolene.'"
