Last year marked KCON's biggest year yet, as the Korean culture convention expanded to three days in Los Angeles and went bi-costal with its inaugural New York showing. But the world's largest K-pop festival and convention is getting even bigger this year.
KCON announced that it will return in 2016 with a second day and two concerts for its New York date, taking place on June 24 and 25, at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. A month later, the fest will return to Los Angeles for three days of fun during July 29-31 at the Staples Center. In addition to arena-sized concerts, KCON boasts panels, workshops, food trucks, booths, and much more, all centered around Korean culture.
Like last year, we anticipate a stacked lineup for each date that will include a mix of new and veteran artists that boasts boy bands, girl groups, and solo stars that touch on a mix pop, hip-hop and R&B. KCON 2015 saw the likes of Girl's Generation, Super Junior, Shinhwa, GOT7, AOA, Sistar, VIXX, Zion.T, Block B and more coming to perform across both coasts.
Artist lineups and programming are expected to come ahead of ticket sales.
