No matter how hard you try to escape it, the '90s pop culture obsession will NOT die! The latest installment of the decade's revival may excite Legends of the Hidden Temple fans, as Kirk Fogg (the host of the Nickelodeon adventure game show) has joined the cast of the TV movie reboot.
According to Variety, Fogg will be playing a "key figure" in the film, although no other details have been revealed about his role. The former host of the show (which ran from 1993-1995) shared this in a statement:
“When Nickelodeon asked me to be a part of the ‘Legends of the Hidden Temple’ movie, I immediately went to the closet and pulled out my blue denim shirt, which has been protected by a powerful golden force field since 1995."
The news of the reboot was revealed earlier this month, and the plot is about how "three siblings must conquer a series of obstacles to remain alive, mirroring the theme of the original game show." Legends of the Hidden Temple show staples like the talking Olmec head and Steps of Knowledge will also be included in the film. Fogg joins fellow cast members Isabela Moner, Colin Critchley and Jet Jurgensmeyer.
