Nicki Minaj cannot wait to be a mother. In her cover story for Nylon's April issue, she talks about how she's not engaged to Meek Mill, but if they were to get married, they'd have a baby immediately after.

"He said that my third ring would be my engagement ring. But sometimes he calls me his fiancée, and I'm always trying to stop him, like, 'Nope! I ain't got that third ring yet!' We're just taking it one step at a time," she tells the magazine. "And, you know, if that happens, if I get married, then I'll have a child, and that'll be fun, because I can't wait to hold my baby."

Nicki previously went on the record for Complex in 2014, saying that she wants to have a baby after Album No. 5. Minaj put out her third album, The Pinkprint, in December 2014.

Most of the Nylon feature focuses on Nicki The Businesswoman, and follows her as she balances time between photoshoots and her social life. She's constantly working, but if you think you're going to hear a fourth album any time soon, you might have to give her a little more time.

“I needed time to hear myself think again because where I left off with The Pinkprint was a little bit emotionally unstable. I wanted to take a moment to just live my life, enjoy my life, have fun, go out. I think that’s very important before you start writing again. It’s a spiritual experience for the people who are hearing the music, so I’m trying to be very careful of what mental space I’m in while I’m creating it. Now, I want my happiness to be reflected in the new stuff.”

Minaj is ready to focus on her acting career instead, and is ready for the April release of Barbershop: The Next Cut, in which she plays hairstylist Draya. She's also serving as executive producer for a Freeform series about her life. Read the whole Nylon feature for more goodies about Nicki Minaj's busy, busy life and her views on motherhood.
