So they're making a live-action Where's Waldo? movie. They are; you can't seriously be surprised at this point. But here's a little spice to perk the old eyebrows: Seth Rogen and his creative partner Evan Goldberg are deep in talks to produce, according to Deadline.
Thus far in his career, every film Rogen has produced, he's also starred in. He and Goldberg joined forces to co-direct 2013's This Is the End and '14's The Interview. Now's the moment where you make guesses as to (a) who will play Waldo and (b) what type of role Rogen could play here.
"An early iteration of the script [was] built upon [a] time-traveling element, where Waldo accidentally activates a time machine and must find a way to get back to the love of his life, Wilma," writes The Tracking Board, which initially reported the news. At least five screenwriters have worked on the script so far.
Where's Waldo? debuted as Where's Wally? in 1987, the brainchild of British illustrator Martin Handford. Deadline says more than 55 million copies have been sold.
