With SXSW behind us, the music world is inching toward festival season. Coachella is right around the corner and before you know it, Warped Tour will be upon us. It's wise to keep an eye on the smaller fests, too, as that's where really surprising things happen. Take Atlanta's Wrecking Ball Festival, for example. They got Thursday to reunite. Yup, that Thursday.
The New Jersey post-hardcore/emo group called it quits in 2011 (you could learn all about that in this vintage Fuse clip) and have since announced only one gig, at the ATL fest, which takes place August 13 and 14. We're hoping for more dates to be announced but until then...how expensive are flights?
Massachusetts indie-emos Piebald are also listed on the marquee, which is insane because they haven't played since 2010. There are other, newer bands on the lineup, too. Here's everyone who's hitting the stage:
Quicksand, L7, Thursday, Drive Like Jehu, Dinosaur Jr, American Football, The Julie Ruin, Motion City Soundtrack, Gorilla Biscuits, The Bouncing Souls, The Promise Ring, American Nightmare, Piebald, Touche Amore, Bayside, Deafheaven, Civ, Rainer Maria, Anti-Flag, Trapped Under Ice, Tigers Jaw, Cold Cave, Hey Mercedes, Juliette and the Licks, Burn, Bully, Good Riddance, Joyce Manor, Ceremony, Turnstile, The Menzingers, Maritime, Diarrhea Planet, Mothers, Milemarker, Jeff Rosenstock, Potty Mouth, Lemuria, Antarctigo Vespucci, PEARS, Microwave, Big Jesus, Solids, Daddy Issues, Young and Heartless, Free, Donovan Wolfington, Broken Beak, Drug Church, Femignome, Bobby Barnett, Looming, The Obsessives, Warehouse, Spur, Auspice, Fox Wound, Exwhy
See you in Atlanta! And Thursday, if you're reading this, you've gotta do a Jersey show. Fair is fair. While we've got you, check out seven years of Thursday in our retrospective video below.
