Last week, we hopped on the phone with producer John "Feldy" Feldmann to talk about the new Blink-182 record he's working on. It was a big move: it's not only the band's first full-length without founding guitarist Tom DeLonge, but also the first without career producer Jerry Finn, who recently passed. Feldy had big shoes to fill, and apparently he did them well...and quickly! In a new interview with PunkVideosRock.com, drummer Travis Barker has revealed that the new album is completed.
He told host RobertHerrera3, "It’s just a matter of picking what 12 to 14 songs are gonna be on the album. I think we wrote 26 or 27 — so right now everyone’s just pushing for their favorites.”
The speedy finish makes sense: The guys have been working nonstop. Barker continued, "We've been working 15, 20 hour days. It's been a lot of time in the studio and a lot of time with everyone in the studio, Matt [Skiba], Mark [Hoppus], myself, of course Feldmann."
