'Batman v Superman' Can't Keep Up Box Office Momentum in Second Weekend
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may have had a killer opening last weekend, even if the reviews for the big-screen comic book epic starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill were lackluster at best. It doesn't look like the blockbuster is set to continue its winning streak, though, as it appears that people are starting to pay more attention to the reviews and less attention to their inner superhero fan.
The Hollywood Reporter took a look at the numbers for Batman v Superman's second weekend so far, and they ain't good: The movie is holding tight to its No. 1 status at the box office, but sales have taken a serious nosedive. The film was initially predicted to rake in $50 million on Friday night and netted a mere $15.3 million instead.
