The world's biggest Korean-culture festival has nabbed BTS to headline its KCON 2016 New York date while bringing the fresh-faced Twice to KCON 2016 Los Angeles for their first-ever stateside showing.

Along with a host of still-to-be-revealed acts coming to both the N.Y. and L.A. dates, the socially conscious boy band, along with the nine-member girl group, will meet their fans and take the stage at Newark's massive Prudential Center and L.A.'s famous Staples center this summer. Both festivals boast multiple days of K-pop concerts, along with Korean culture-focused panels, workshops, food trucks, artist meet-and-greets and convention fun.

BTS has certainly earned its headliner status following an incredible 2015 that included two sold-out U.S. tours, and releasing its excellent The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 EPs, the latter of which charted on the Billboard 200, beating PSY and marking the first time a K-pop act not from a major label hit the U.S. albums ranking. American fans will get to see new material from the group too, as they gear up to release a new album on May 2.

Meanwhile, Twice has already proven itself to be a girl group to watch despite only debuting late in 2015. After competing on the reality show Sixteen, the ninesome has garnered a load of interest with its debut music video for "Ooh Aah" earning 53 million views—the most-viewed debut music video of any K-pop group.

KCON will continue announcing more artists for the 2016 lineup during its weekly #KCONLiveChat at 8/7c on Thursdays. Check back to Fuse every week for the latest artist announcements too.

KCON returns to the East Coast on on June 24 and 25, and then a month later, the fest will hit Los Angeles for three days of fun on July 29-31.
