Gerard Way Talks 'Crazy Art' With DC Comics Imprint
In 2014, former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way released his debut solo album, Hesitant Alien. It was exciting to know he was still doing music stuff in a post-MCR world, but his heart lies with comic books these days. It looks like the guy is going to curate a DC Comics pop-up imprint called Young Animal, and we can't freaking wait.
In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Way explained his involvement with the brand:
"I saw it as an opportunity to create a big piece of art, or a big art project, with collaborators. I wanted to form this little group, like a band, and then make crazy art—take these characters to places they haven't been in a long time, but also new places. Personally, I think it's my job to get in there and completely mix it up, really take risks and all that. I think that's the job of everybody at Young Animal."
