'Guardians of the Galaxy' Hero Star-Lord Will Be in 'Avengers: Infinity War'

The upcoming Captain America: Civil War will bring a ton of Marvel characters together to battle each other when it hits theaters on May 6. But another huge Marvel film, the two-part Avengers: Infinity War saga, will also bring together some incredible characters, most notably Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Joe and Anthony Russo, who are directing Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, tell Comicbook.com that fans of Guardians of the Galaxy can expect the familiar face. Anthony says:

"The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the [Marvel Cinematic Universe] so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what [Guardians director] James Gunn has done. [Joe and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited [sic].”

Joe Russo added:

"I'm excited to work with Thor. They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that."

There you have it! Avengers: Infinity War Part I will hit theaters on May 4, 2018. Thor: Ragnarok is due out on Nov. 3, 2017, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be out on May 5, 2017. Till then, check out these awesome cosplayers from New York Comic Con:
