"I remember everything," Jason Bourne declares in the first trailer for Jason Bourne.
"Remembering everything doesn't mean you know everything!" Julia Stiles (as Nicky Parsons) replies.
Stiles is correct, and the exchange appears to set up the plot of Matt Damon's much-anticipated return to the Bourne franchise. Now that Jason Bourne's memory is not as clouded, what's an agent to do? A whole lot, actually, as the character tries to navigate his way through a sea of bad guys, a hacker hoping to expose his identity, and Tommy Lee Jones' rhetorical questions.
Damon was not part of the last Bourne film, 2012's The Bourne Legacy; neither was director Paul Greengrass, who helmed 2004's The Bourne Supremacy and 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum. Both are back after Jeremy Renner and Tony Gilroy, respectively, took over for Legacy.
Jason Bourne is due out July 29. Oscar winner Alicia Vikander also co-stars.
